A Walk in the Cotswolds

Bank Holiday Monday and spring showers had been forecast but we decided to go for a walk in the Cotswolds around Chipping Campden. Weather actually held up quite well and it was nice and sunny most of the time. Heard some Lapwings at one stage and went through a hedge to try to view them and flushed a Fox. Not sure who was more surprised and didn't manage to point my camera until he was well away.

Not a great photo but an enjoyable encounter.

Dover's Hill
Part of the walk took us to Dover's Hill which is high on the Cotswold escarpment and provides panoramic views of the surrounding area.On a clear day you can see 60 miles, apparently. A bit too hazy today I think.

Just a great looking Tree

Hoverfly - Syrphus Ribesii
Lots of these about at the moment.

I am not a number...
